Cootie Strategy: Wild Bug Choices, Missing Parts & Variants

Cootie is largely luck-driven, but the Wild Bug and optional variants create a few real decisions.

Use Wild Bug on scarce missing categories

If several legs are still missing, another leg is often easier to obtain later than a unique eye, mouth or accessory. Use flexibility where it reduces the largest completion risk.

Track what is already complete

A spinner result only helps if you still need that category. As the bug fills out, the value of Wild Bug increases because more ordinary results become misses.

Trade only when Switcheroo improves your finish

In Switcheroo, a cosmetic trade is neutral unless it helps your own completion or prevents a future dead result. Do not trade simply because a swap is available.

Head Start makes Wild Bug critical early

Before you collect a head, every non-Wild result is wasted. Once the head is secured, the game returns to normal collection.
