Aeon’s End Win & Loss Rules: Nemesis, Gravehold & Exhaustion

Aeon’s End has two standard victory routes and several ways to lose.

Victory route 1: Nemesis at 0 life

If damage reduces the Nemesis life dial to 0, the players win immediately unless a Nemesis-specific rule explicitly changes that condition.

Victory route 2: exhaust the Nemesis deck and board

If the Nemesis deck has no cards and there are no Minions or Powers in play at the end of any turn, the players win even if the Nemesis still has life remaining.

Loss: Gravehold reaches 0 life

If Gravehold’s life dial reaches 0, the players lose immediately.

Loss: all players exhausted

A mage at 0 life becomes exhausted rather than leaving the game immediately. If every player is exhausted, the team loses.

Empty Nemesis deck does not stop Nemesis turns

If the Nemesis would draw from an empty deck while Minions or Powers remain, it Unleashes three times instead. The team must still clear the remaining board to claim the alternate victory.

Nemesis-specific defeat conditions

Individual Nemesis mats can add an immediate loss condition. Follow that text in addition to the generic Gravehold/exhaustion rules.
