La Granja Deluxe Strategy: Multi-Use Cards, Dice & Delivery Tempo
Editorial analysis: Card flexibility is the game’s hidden currency. Committing a card permanently is expensive because you lose three other possible uses at the same time.
Delay commitment when information is weak
If a card is useful in several orientations, keep it flexible until dice, market demand or your resource engine makes one role clearly superior.
Fields need a consumption plan
Producing more goods than you can process or deliver creates clutter rather than value. Add fields when barrows or village deliveries can absorb the output.
Helpers should alter repeated actions
A helper used once is rarely worth giving up a strong field or barrow. Prefer powers that improve multiple rounds of delivery, income or conversion.
Draft dice for scarcity, not only value
Take a die early when its action is essential and unlikely to remain. Flexible resource gains can often wait until later in the draft.
Complete deliveries before starting too many
Partially filled barrows and craft buildings tie up resources without scoring. Finish one or two strong deliveries instead of scattering goods across several targets.
Modules should reinforce the core engine
The Deluxe Master Set adds optional content. Use each module’s rules as an extra layer, but keep the core resource-to-delivery economy coherent.
