How to Play La Granja Deluxe Master Set: Cards, Dice & Deliveries
La Granja is a multi-use-card eurogame. Every farm card can be committed in one of four orientations, so playing it one way permanently gives up its other possible functions.
Scope: Deluxe Master Set using the core La Granja game; optional modules are excluded unless stated.
Farm phase: develop with cards
Play cards around your farm board as fields, market barrows, farm extensions or helpers. The chosen orientation determines the card’s permanent role.
Gain income and produce goods
Fields and farm improvements generate resources, pigs or processed goods according to the round structure.
Revenue/dice phase
Roll the shared dice, then draft them one at a time. Each die value corresponds to a particular action or resource benefit, while the remaining die can create a shared final effect.
Transportation and deliveries
Use delivery capacity to move goods to your personal market barrows or to village craft buildings. Completed deliveries generate points and bonuses.
Market presence
Finishing a market barrow places a marker in the central market. Market position can displace weaker markers and produce ongoing/final scoring value.
Helpers create exceptions
Helper cards can modify resource conversion, card play, delivery and scoring rules. Because a helper occupies one orientation, its long-term benefit must justify the lost alternative uses of that card.
Endgame
After the final round, add market, farm and other core final categories, plus any scoring from Deluxe modules selected for the game.
