Prioritize objectives already close to completion
A hidden objective that needs one irrigation channel or one panda move is usually more efficient than starting a new multi-turn bamboo structure from scratch.
Build irrigation where several goals can use it
A single channel can unlock bamboo growth, satisfy a Plot objective and enable future Gardener movement. Avoid isolated irrigation that serves only one narrow card unless the points justify it.
Use the gardener on clusters of matching color
One gardener move can grow bamboo on multiple adjacent irrigated plots of the same color. Create these clusters when your objectives reward tall or repeated bamboo stacks.
Panda objectives are flexible finishers
Eaten bamboo is stored privately, so once you hold the required colors it is harder for opponents to undo your progress. Panda objectives can be especially useful late when the shared garden is already developed.
Weather should compress actions
Use the weather bonus to complete a task you would otherwise need to spend one of your two normal actions on. The strongest turns chain weather and two actions into one complete objective.
Watch the objective-count clock
When a rival approaches the 7/8/9-card trigger, drawing new objectives becomes riskier. Convert existing near-complete cards into points before the final round is forced.
