Connect 4
Drop discs into a vertical grid and be the first player to connect four of your color horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
Connect 4 is a two-player alignment game in which gravity determines where every disc can land. Simple rules create tactical threats, forced blocks and multi-direction wins.
Why it matters
The rules are compact, but players repeatedly search for diagonal wins, full-grid outcomes, turn order and whether a move can create more than one threat at once.

Rules overview
The youngest player goes first under Hasbro A5640. Players alternate dropping one disc into any non-full column. The first player with four of their own discs in a straight horizontal, vertical or diagonal line wins.
Key decisions
Every move changes which cells become reachable next. Good play creates two threats at once while preventing the opponent from doing the same.
