Guess Who? Strategy: Better Questions, Splits & Information Gain
Guess Who? rewards questions that remove the largest number of possibilities regardless of whether the answer is yes or no.
Aim for balanced splits
If 16 faces remain, a question that separates them roughly 8–8 is more useful than one that isolates only two characters.
Count before you ask
Scan the surviving faces and estimate how many fit the trait. The board itself contains all the information needed to compare question quality.
Avoid repeating information
Do not ask a question whose answer is already implied by a previous answer. Each turn should reduce uncertainty.
Delay the final guess when the risk is high
Because an incorrect guess loses the game in C2124, guessing with several candidates remaining is much riskier than asking another high-value question.
