Trouble Board Game Guide: Rules, Pop-O-Matic, Bumping & Strategy
Trouble
Pop the die, move your pegs around the race track, send opponents back and be the first to get all four pegs into your Finish zone.
Trouble is a classic race-and-chase game built around the Pop-O-Matic die roller. Hasbro A5064 also contains edition-specific board effects, so this hub keeps the edition scope explicit.
Why it matters
Players commonly confuse Trouble editions. A5064 has its own movement and power-space details, including a special rule when a 1 is rolled.
Game at a Glance
Four Pegs
Get all four of your color into Finish.
Pop-O-Matic
Press the bubble to roll the enclosed die.
Bump Opponents
Landing on an opponent can send that peg back.
A5064 Special Rule
A roll of 1 affects other players’ pegs instead of moving yours.
Rules overview
Choose a color, use the Pop-O-Matic to generate movement and race your pegs around the track toward your Finish zone. Landing on an opponent sends that peg back toward the beginning. The first player to get all four pegs into Finish wins.
Key decisions
When several pegs are active, choose between advancing a leader, developing another peg and taking a bump that resets an opponent’s progress.
