Trouble Strategy: Peg Development, Bumps & Finish Timing
Trouble contains substantial luck, but turns with multiple legal pegs still create meaningful choices.
Develop more than one peg
Keeping several pegs active gives you more ways to use future rolls and reduces the damage when one peg is bumped backward.
Take high-value bumps
Sending an opponent’s advanced peg back can be worth more than a small gain in your own position, especially late in the race.
Avoid blocking your own options
A5064 has a specific START-space interaction on a roll of 1. Occupancy can therefore matter beyond ordinary movement.
Prioritize Finish when the race is close
Once a peg is safely in the Finish zone it no longer risks being bumped on the main track, so converting exposed progress into finished pegs can reduce variance.
