Twister Guide: Rules, Spinner, Air, Spinner’s Choice & Teams
Twister
Follow the spinner, place the called hand or foot on the required color, and stay balanced while the mat fills up around you.
Hasbro 98831 adds Air and Spinner’s Choice to classic Twister, while keeping the core rule: follow hand-and-foot color calls without falling or touching the mat with a knee or elbow.
Why it matters
Twister looks simple but produces recurring questions about occupied spots, repeat calls, Air, Spinner’s Choice, team play and exactly what eliminates a player.
Game at a Glance
Four Colors
Red, blue, yellow and green spots cover the mat.
One Limb per Spot
Only one hand or foot may occupy a spot.
Air Move
Hold the called hand or foot off the mat.
Elimination
Fall or touch down with a knee or elbow and you are out.
Rules overview
Spread the mat flat, remove shoes and use the spinner to call a limb and a color. Players place the called hand or foot on an available matching spot. A player who falls or touches the mat with a knee or elbow is eliminated. The last player standing wins.
Key decisions
Choose reachable spots that preserve balance and keep future limbs free. Central spots can be efficient but also create more collisions as the mat fills.
