Brass: Birmingham Scoring: Links, Industries & Era-End VP
Brass: Birmingham scores twice: once after the Canal Era and once after the Rail Era. Each scoring step awards VP for your link tiles and your flipped industry tiles. Money itself is not directly converted into VP.

Link scoring: count adjacent link icons
For each of your canal or rail link tiles, look at the two locations that link connects. Score 1 VP for each link icon shown on industry/merchant tiles in those adjacent locations, following the rulebook’s link-scoring procedure.
A single valuable location can contribute to several different adjacent links. After an era’s link scoring, remove those link tiles as directed.
Industry scoring: only flipped tiles score
Each of your flipped industry tiles scores the VP value printed on that tile. An industry still unflipped at era end does not score its printed VP for that era.
Coal Mines and Iron Works flip when their last resource is consumed; Breweries flip when their beer is consumed; selling industries flip through the Sell action under their rules.
Canal Era scoring is not the final score
After Canal link and industry scoring, perform the Canal-to-Rail maintenance. Canal links are removed and level-1 industry tiles are removed according to the rulebook. VP already scored remain on the track.
Rail Era scoring ends the game
Repeat link and flipped-industry scoring after the Rail Era. Add those points to the VP already earned in the Canal Era and through any effects that explicitly awarded VP.
Worked example
Suppose your Rail links score 18 VP and your flipped Rail-era industries score 31. If you entered the era with 54 VP from Canal scoring and other effects, you finish on 103 VP.
Tiebreak order
Highest VP wins. If tied, compare income, then remaining money. If the tie persists, the tied players share victory.
