Five Tribes Scoring: Camels, Viziers, Goods, Djinns & Tiles

Five Tribes converts most assets directly into victory points at the end of the game. Coins are especially important because 1 coin = 1 VP, which means money spent on turn-order bids is also points spent.

Coins

Score 1 VP for every coin you still own.

Tiles controlled by your camels

Add the printed VP value of every tile containing one of your camels. Then add any palm-tree and palace bonuses on those controlled tiles.

Viziers

Each yellow Vizier you own is worth 1 VP. In addition, score 10 VP for each opponent who has fewer Viziers than you. This makes relative majority position important.

Elders

Each white Elder you still own is worth 2 VP, unless a Djinn or other rule changes how it is used before final scoring.

Djinns

Add the printed VP values on your Djinn cards. Their special powers may have provided additional value during play, but final scoring uses the VP printed on the cards unless a card says otherwise.

Goods sets

Build sets containing different merchandise types and score them using the goods-set table. Larger sets of unique goods rise sharply in value; duplicate goods can form additional sets.

Palm trees and palaces

Each palm tree on a tile you control adds 3 VP. Each palace on a tile you control adds 5 VP. Decorations on tiles controlled by another player do not score for you.

Winner

Add all categories. The player with the highest total wins. Use the official score pad because the mixture of money, majorities, sets and tile modifiers is easy to miscount mentally.
