Inis Victory Conditions: Territories, Sanctuaries & Chieftainship

Inis has no victory-point total. Players try to become High King by holding a Pretender marker and meeting more of the three victory conditions than other eligible players at the Assembly check.

Condition 1: presence in six territories

If you have at least one clan in six or more different territories, you meet the territory condition. You do not need to be chieftain in those territories.

Condition 2: presence with six Sanctuaries

Add the Sanctuaries in every territory where you have at least one clan. If the total is six or more, you meet the Sanctuary condition.

Condition 3: chieftain over six opposing clans

Add the opposing clans located in territories where you are chieftain. If that total is six or more, you meet the leadership condition.

Deed tokens act as wild progress

Each Deed can add one toward one victory-condition threshold. A Deed cannot be counted toward more than one condition at the same time during the victory check.

Pretender status is required for the Assembly victory check

Meeting a condition during the Season does not instantly end the game. Take the Pretender marker as instructed, preserve the condition until the next Assembly and then compare eligible players.

Most conditions wins

The qualifying Pretender who meets the greatest number of victory conditions is crowned High King. If eligible players tie on number of conditions, apply the Brenn/tie rule from the current rulebook; a tie can result in no winner and another round.
