How to read the archive

Player counts follow the identified base or standalone edition. Expansions and player-count extensions can change the range. Scythe and Wingspan Pocket use separate Automa instructions for solo play; their ordinary multiplayer turn explanations do not substitute for those instructions.

Play time is a publisher estimate. A game listed for 30–60 minutes appears in the up-to-60-minute selection, but not the up-to-45-minute selection. Teaching, setup and your group’s pace can make the first session longer.

Rules demand and mechanisms are editorial classifications. They help compare the type of decisions and procedures you will learn. They are not measured teaching times, community ratings or evidence of comparative hands-on testing. Open a card’s edition and source notes when checking a fact.

Game hubs connect the overview to the detailed coverage currently available. Use our complete how-to-play and focused rules guides for a question at the table, or browse strategy by game and decision. Read our editorial and review methodology for our evidence and correction standards.
