How to Play Trickerion: Assignments, Tricks & Performances
Trickerion is a heavy action-programming game about preparing and performing stage illusions. Characters are secretly assigned before locations resolve, so timing and competition matter.
Scope: core Trickerion system; major expansion modules excluded.
Assignment Phase
Secretly assign each available character to a location using Assignment cards.
Resolve locations in order
Players reveal assignments and take actions based on character action points, location bonuses and available spaces.
Downtown
Learn new tricks, hire characters and improve your magician’s capabilities.
Market Row
Acquire the components needed to prepare tricks.
Workshop
Spend components to prepare Trick markers for future performances.
Theater
Place Trick markers into performance cards. Matching link symbols between tricks can improve the performance’s total value.
Perform
When a performance is staged, participating tricks generate Fame, coins and other rewards according to placement and links.
Game end
After the final round, add end-game Fame from prepared resources, magician development and other core scoring categories.
