Yahtzee Bonus & Extra Yahtzee Rules Explained
After you have already scored a Yahtzee, another five-of-a-kind can trigger a 100-point Yahtzee bonus under Hasbro’s C2406 rules.
When the 100-point bonus applies
If your Yahtzee box contains a scored Yahtzee rather than zero, mark the Yahtzee bonus and add 100 points for the extra Yahtzee.
You still fill a normal score box
The bonus does not replace the turn’s score entry. You must also fill one empty category.
Use the matching upper box first
If the upper-section box matching the five dice is empty, score the total of the five dice there.
If the matching upper box is already filled
The Hasbro guide directs you to use Three of a Kind or Four of a Kind if available, scoring the five-dice total. If those are also full, use Chance or an available fixed combination category and score it normally.
What if the Yahtzee box is zero?
You do not receive the 100-point Yahtzee bonus. The rules still allow the five-of-a-kind roll to be scored using the category procedure described above.
