How to Play Connect 4: Setup, Turns, Diagonals & Winning
Connect 4 is a two-player game played on a vertical grid with 21 red discs and 21 yellow discs.
Setup
Insert the slider bar into the bottom of the grid and attach the two legs. Divide the red and yellow discs between the players.
Who goes first?
Hasbro A5640 says the youngest player goes first.
Your turn
Drop one disc into any open slot at the top of the grid. Gravity carries it to the lowest open position in that column.
Winning
The first player to get four discs of their color in one straight line wins. The line may be horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
Starting another game
Slide the bottom bar aside to release the discs, divide the colors again and reset the grid.
