Lords of Waterdeep Endgame Scoring: Lords, Gold & Final VP
Lords of Waterdeep ends after round 8. Most points are already on the score track from completed Quests, buildings and card effects, but hidden Lord bonuses and leftover resources are resolved only at the end.
Keep all VP already earned during the game
Your score-track position includes points from completed Quests and any other effects that awarded VP immediately. Do not rescore those Quests from scratch unless a card explicitly adds an additional end-game bonus.
Reveal the hidden Lord card
Most Lords award bonus VP for completed Quests of specified types; one base-game Lord uses a different building-focused condition. Apply the exact formula printed on your Lord card to the relevant completed Quests/buildings.
Convert remaining gold according to the rulebook
Unspent gold contributes a small amount of final VP using the base-game conversion in the official rulebook. This makes leftover money worth something, but usually much less than gold converted into a completed Quest during round 8.
Expansion Corruption is not part of base-game scoring
Scoundrels of Skullport adds Corruption and additional end-game rules. Do not include those penalties when playing only the Lords of Waterdeep base game.
Highest final VP wins
After Lord bonuses and remaining-resource conversion, compare totals. Use the current rulebook’s tiebreak if players share the highest VP.
