Lost Ruins of Arnak: The Missing Expedition Guide

The Missing Expedition expands Arnak in two ways: it adds normal competitive content and a replayable six-chapter campaign for solo or two-player cooperative play.

What The Missing Expedition adds

  • 2 new leaders: Mechanic and Journalist
  • 2 new research tracks
  • 56 encounter cards
  • 21 Items and 13 Artifacts
  • New Assistants, Guardians, Sites and Idols
  • Six-chapter campaign material

The campaign

The campaign follows the search for missing Professor Kutil. Each chapter is replayable as its own challenge, and the campaign can be played solo or cooperatively with two players.

Mechanic and Journalist

The two new leaders use the leader framework from Expedition Leaders, but CGE also provides simple-leader rules if you do not own that earlier expansion.

Do you need Expedition Leaders?

No. The Missing Expedition requires only the base game. CGE explicitly states that it can be played with or without Expedition Leaders.

Standard competitive use

The new leaders, research tracks, Items, Artifacts, Sites, Guardians and Assistants can be added to normal 1–4 player games; the box is not campaign-only.

Who should add it?

Choose The Missing Expedition if Arnak is frequently played solo or at two players, or if you already like Expedition Leaders and want more asymmetric content plus a campaign.
