Two new maps
The day and night sides are not cosmetic variants. Each has a unique layout, temple, research track and mechanisms, so exploration and research priorities shift substantially from the base board.
Owl Temple
The day-side route emphasizes its own temple structure and research decisions. It changes how quickly players can convert research advancement into temple rewards.
Spider Temple
The night-side caverns introduce different mechanisms and use dark tablets among their new components, creating a more unfamiliar resource/research puzzle.
Adventure Chest relationship
Twisted Paths was first included inside the Adventure Chest and later released separately for players who wanted the gameplay content without the large storage solution.
Who should add it?
Twisted Paths is best for groups that already know the base map well. It changes the spatial puzzle more dramatically than Expedition Leaders or Surprise Shipment.
