Calico Scoring: Design Goals, Cats, Buttons & Rainbow Bonus

Calico scores three overlapping systems: your personal Design Goals, cats attracted by patch patterns and Buttons earned from color groups.

Design Goal tiles

For each of your three Design Goals, inspect the six adjacent patch tiles. Evaluate the printed grouping requirement separately by color and by pattern. Score the tile’s lower printed value if one condition is met, or the higher combined value if both are met.

Cat tokens

Each cat scoring tile shows one or more patch patterns and a spatial requirement. Every Cat token you legitimately attracted is worth the point value printed for that cat.

Color Buttons

Qualifying same-color patch groups earn Button tokens during play. Each Button contributes the value specified by the Button scoring rules at game end.

Rainbow Button

Collecting one Button of every color earns a Rainbow Button. Multiple complete color sets can earn additional Rainbow Buttons where the supply/rules allow.

Add all three systems

Total Design Goal points, Cat points and all Button points. Highest score wins; use the official rulebook’s tiebreak if needed.
