Chutes and Ladders Square 100, Ladder & Chute Rules Explained
Most Chutes and Ladders questions involve the exact moment a special space takes effect.
When do you climb a ladder?
Only when your movement ends on the square at the bottom of a ladder. Move the pawn immediately to the top.
When do you slide down a chute?
Only when your movement ends on the square at the top of a chute. Move immediately to the bottom.
Do you activate a ladder or chute when passing it?
No. You must land on the relevant starting square.
Square 100
Square 100 is the goal. The first player to reach it wins under A4756.
Can two pawns share a square?
The rules do not include bumping or blocking. Pawns can occupy the same numbered space without affecting one another.
