Hanabi Scoring & Endgame: Firework Score, Final Turns & Fuse Loss
Standard Hanabi scores the completed height of each colored firework. With five standard colors built from 1 through 5, the maximum score is 25.
Score each firework by its highest successfully played number
If a color reaches 4, that firework contributes 4 points. A complete 1–5 firework contributes 5. Add all five standard colors.
Perfect completion ends successfully
If all fireworks reach 5, the team has completed the display perfectly for 25 points and does not need to keep drawing cards.
Losing the final fuse ends the game immediately
When an incorrect play consumes the last fuse token, the team loses immediately rather than completing the final-turn sequence.
Empty deck creates a fixed number of final turns
After the last card is drawn, each player receives the final turn allocation described by the rulebook. No new cards are drawn, so hand size shrinks as those turns resolve.
Variants can change scoring
Multicolor and perfect-display variants can alter the maximum or remove the normal score scale. Use the base 25-point system only for the standard five-color game.
