How to Play Phase 10: Phases, Hitting, Going Out & Scoring
Phase 10 is progressive rummy: every player is trying to complete a specific phase, and phases must be completed in order.
Your turn
Draw one card, make any legal Phase/hit plays available to you, then discard one card to end your turn.
Completing a phase
You must hold the full required combination before laying down the phase. Once you successfully lay it down in a hand, you advance to the next numbered phase for the next hand.
Hitting
After you have laid down your own phase, you may add legal cards to phases already on the table, including opponents’ phases.
Going out
A hand ends when one player gets rid of all cards. Other players score the cards remaining in hand.
If you did not complete your phase
You must attempt the same phase again next hand.
