Qwirkle Scoring Rules: Lines, Crosses & 12-Point Qwirkles
Qwirkle scores the full length of every line you create or extend, including tiles that were already on the table.
Basic scoring
If your play creates or extends a line of 4 tiles, that line scores 4 points.
Crossing lines
A tile can score in more than one direction. If the tile you place belongs to both a horizontal and vertical line, score both complete lines.
What is a Qwirkle?
A complete line of all 6 possible colors for one shape, or all 6 possible shapes for one color.
How many points is a Qwirkle?
The six-tile line scores 6 points, plus a 6-point bonus, for 12 points from that line.
Can a line exceed six tiles?
No. Six is the maximum legal length.
End-game bonus
When no tiles remain to draw, the first player to use all tiles in hand ends the game and scores an additional 6 points.
