The Crew: Mission Deep Sea Mission Rules: Success, Failure & Communication

Mission Deep Sea missions are won by completing every assigned task condition. They are not scored by total tricks won.

Tasks define success

Each mission uses task cards and/or special instructions. Some require a player to win a particular card; others care about trick order, card values, colors or who wins specific tricks.

A task can become impossible before the hand ends

If the wrong player captures a card required by a task or a timing restriction is broken, the mission may fail immediately. There is no reason to play out the remaining tricks once the objective is impossible.

Communication has strict limits

The standard communication tool reveals only permitted information about one card and usually cannot be used on submarine cards. Exact timing and exceptions depend on the current mission rules.

Some missions override normal assumptions

Always read the active mission/task text before dealing with a rules question. Mission-specific instructions can change what counts as success without changing the underlying trick-taking rules.

Retry failed missions

A failed mission can be reset and attempted again. Shuffle/deal again and reassign tasks according to the mission instructions.
