Bus: Complete Edition Strategy – Routes, Tempo & Action Stones
Editorial analysis: Every action stone is a nonrenewable resource. A strong position with too few stones remaining can be worse than a modest network with enough tempo to exploit it.
Expand toward future demand
Do not build only for passengers currently on the board. Anticipate where new homes, workplaces and leisure buildings are likely to make later transport profitable.
Capacity should match actual routes
Adding buses before the network can deliver several passengers wastes an action stone. Increase capacity when your route geometry can support it.
Buildings can improve your network and damage rivals
Place new destinations where your line reaches efficiently and competing routes do not. A single building can redirect future demand across the whole board.
Save action stones for transport
Infrastructure scores nothing by itself if you cannot spend actions moving passengers through it. Keep enough stones for several scoring turns after expansion.
Time manipulation is denial
Stopping or altering Time is strongest when it preserves demand you can satisfy and prevents opponents from using theirs. Use it as a scoring swing, not a novelty.
Late game: stop building
Once the network is good enough, convert remaining stones into transport and targeted denial instead of expanding for routes you may never use.
