Star Wars: Rebellion Strategy: Hidden Base, Missions & Search
Editorial analysis: Rebellion is a game of information. The Empire wants to turn movement and probes into certainty; the Rebels want every visible action to create ambiguity.
Empire: search while applying military pressure
A pure probe strategy can be too slow if the Rebels freely score objectives. Use fleets to occupy likely regions while missions narrow the hidden-base candidates.
Empire: avoid overconcentration
A huge fleet in one corner may secure that region but leave the rest of the map unsearched and politically weak.
Rebels: make useful moves look suspicious
Operate in several regions so the Empire cannot distinguish objective play from base defense.
Rebels: relocate before certainty, not after
Moving the base has a cost. Do it when Imperial information is converging and the new site buys substantial time.
Both sides: leaders are action economy
Every leader assigned to a mission is unavailable for system activation. Keep enough flexible leaders to respond to unexpected military pressure.
Late game: play the clock
When Rebel reputation is close to the time marker, both sides should prioritize actions that directly affect the final objective/base race.
