Hungry Hungry Hippos
Release the marbles, press your hippo’s tail as fast as you can and gobble the highest-scoring collection.
Hasbro F8815 is the current preschool version: all players release their marbles into the center, race to gobble them and count the results after the feeding frenzy ends.
Why it matters
Current Hungry Hungry Hippos rules differ from older golden-marble editions. F8815 scores the golden marble as two rather than making it an automatic win.
Game at a Glance

Rules overview
Set up the hippos and marbles, release the marbles into the center and press your hippo’s tail repeatedly to collect as many as possible. When the center is empty, count your marbles; the golden marble counts as two. The highest total wins.
Key decisions
There is little conventional strategy, but timing, rhythm and avoiding frantic presses that fail to complete the hippo’s motion can improve collection efficiency.
