Eldritch Horror
Eldritch Horror explained: investigators travel the globe, gather clues, solve mysteries, close gates and survive Mythos effects while confronting an Ancient One.
Investigators travel around the world to contain supernatural threats, collect clues and solve the Ancient One’s mysteries before doom advances too far.
Every round combines player actions and local encounters with a Mythos phase that can spawn gates, monsters, rumors and other global problems.
Why We Love It
Eldritch Horror creates a large cooperative crisis map where every investigator has several worthwhile destinations but too little time to solve everything. The team has to choose which threats can be tolerated.
About Eldritch Horror
Investigators move between cities, wilderness spaces and sea spaces, acquire assets and prepare for encounters tied to their location.
Ancient Ones change the mystery deck, setup and loss conditions, giving each game a different central threat.

Rules overview
Each round has Action, Encounter and Mythos phases. During actions, investigators move, rest, trade and acquire assets. In the Encounter phase, each investigator resolves an encounter at their location, which may involve city events, gates, expeditions, clues or other special spaces. The Mythos phase then advances global threats according to the drawn card. Players generally win by solving the required mysteries tied to the chosen Ancient One before a loss condition such as doom or investigator elimination ends the game.
Key decisions
Editorial analysis: Do not treat every spawned problem as equally urgent. Divide the team by task and travel efficiency, then focus on threats that either accelerate doom or block mystery progress. Assets and clues are strongest when concentrated on investigators whose abilities let them convert those resources efficiently.
