Cascadia Scoring Explained: Wildlife, Habitats & Nature Tokens
Cascadia final scoring combines wildlife patterns, your largest corridor of each habitat type, multiplayer habitat-majority bonuses and 1 point for every unspent Nature Token.

Wildlife scoring changes from game to game
Bear, elk, salmon, hawk and fox each use the scoring card selected during setup. There is no single permanent formula for a species. Score your final wildlife arrangement exactly according to the active card for that species.
This is why a pattern that was strong in a previous session may be wrong in the next one. The lettered wildlife cards change what arrangements are valuable.
Only the largest corridor of each habitat counts
For each of the five habitat types, find your largest connected group of matching hexes. Score 1 point per hex in that largest corridor. Smaller separate groups of the same habitat do not add to that corridor score.
Multiplayer games also compare corridor sizes
After scoring corridor sizes, compare players’ largest corridors in each habitat and award the rulebook’s habitat-majority bonuses. Use the tie procedure shown for your player count rather than simply splitting every bonus evenly.
Leftover Nature Tokens score 1 each
Every unspent Nature Token is worth 1 point at the end. Tokens spent during the game are gone and do not score again.
Worked total
Suppose your five wildlife cards produce 47 points, your five largest habitat corridors total 31, habitat-majority bonuses add 7, and you have 3 Nature Tokens left. Your final score is 47 + 31 + 7 + 3 = 88.
The exact wildlife and majority values depend on the scoring cards and multiplayer comparisons in your game; the example illustrates how the categories combine.
Solo scoring uses the solo rules
Do not apply multiplayer corridor-majority comparisons to a solo game. Use the base rulebook’s solo scoring and scenario thresholds for the mode you are playing.
