Mysterium Win & Loss Conditions: Seven Rounds and Final Culprit
Mysterium is fully cooperative: the ghost and all psychics win together or lose together.
First requirement: every psychic must complete their trail
Each psychic must correctly identify their assigned Character, Location and Object before the investigation clock runs out.
You have seven rounds
If one or more psychics still have an incomplete investigation after the seventh round, the mystery is unresolved and the entire group loses.
Completed trails create the final possibilities
Once every psychic succeeds, each completed Character–Location–Object trail becomes a candidate solution for the final phase.
The ghost identifies the true solution secretly
The ghost knows which candidate combination represents the actual circumstances of the death and provides the final Vision information according to the refreshed 2025 rules.
Psychics must select the correct final case
If the group’s final resolution identifies the true combination, everyone wins and the ghost is laid to rest. If the group selects the wrong case, everyone loses.
Optional clairvoyance rules do not replace the core objective
The refreshed edition treats some clairvoyance material as optional/variant structure. Regardless of that module, the cooperative objective remains completing investigations in time and resolving the correct final culprit combination.
