Why We Love It
Mysterium works because the ghost cannot explain the visions directly. Psychics have to interpret color, composition and symbolism while also learning how the ghost player tends to make associations.

What is Mysterium?
Mysterium is an asymmetric cooperative deduction game in which one player is the ghost and the others are psychics. Libellud released a refreshed version in July 2025.
The ghost cannot explain the solution directly and instead communicates through surreal Vision cards.
How the game works
Each psychic is trying to identify a suspect, location and object associated with the ghost’s death. The ghost selects Vision cards intended to point each psychic toward the correct option.
Psychics can discuss interpretations, but each follows a specific investigation. The current rules give the group a limited number of rounds before the final cooperative resolution.
The decisions that define it
The ghost must choose images that are meaningful to a specific player without being able to clarify intent. Psychics must separate useful visual signals from accidental similarities.
Because interpretation is subjective, familiarity with how teammates think becomes a real strategic resource.
