Twilight Imperium Objectives & Victory Rules Explained
Twilight Imperium is an objective race. Most points come from satisfying public and secret objective cards at the correct scoring window.
Public objectives
Public objectives are revealed to all players and usually require control, spending, technology, structures or other empire-development conditions.
Secret objectives
Secret objectives belong to individual players. Some score during the Status Phase while others trigger at specific action or combat timings.
Status Phase scoring
Players score eligible Status Phase objectives in initiative order, following the normal one-public/one-secret limits and card text.
Other point sources
Some Strategy cards, Mecatol-related effects, agendas or faction/component effects can legally award victory points outside standard objective scoring.
Victory timing matters
If a player reaches the victory target at a legal scoring window, the game can end before later players in initiative order receive their own scoring opportunity.
Base-game target
The standard base game uses the normal printed victory-point target on the score track; variants and expansion content can alter setup or pacing.
