Blood Rage Mystics of Midgard Expansion Guide
Mystics of Midgard adds special Mystic units to Blood Rage. Mystics are neither Warriors nor Monsters; they become available only after your clan drafts and installs the appropriate Mystic Clan Upgrades.
What comes in Mystics of Midgard?
- 10 Mystic miniatures—two for each clan when the Ram Clan content is included

How do you unlock Mystics?
Each clan begins with its Mystic figures outside its normal reserves. You cannot invade with them until you play a Mystic Clan Upgrade.
Each qualifying upgrade adds one Mystic to your available reserves. A clan can recruit a maximum of two Mystics.
Mystic base stats
Mystics have STR 2. Their defining base ability is that they can Invade without paying Rage. Once on the board they participate in battles and normal figure interactions according to the expansion rules.
Upgrades stack abilities
Mystic Clan Upgrades do more than unlock figures. They also grant abilities to your Mystics. If you collect multiple different Mystic upgrades, your Mystics gain the accumulated abilities from those upgrades, allowing the unit type to become increasingly specialized over the Ages.
Why Mystics change drafting
A Mystic card competes with quests, battle cards, monsters and conventional clan upgrades during the draft. The expansion therefore creates a new long-term decision: invest early in a special unit system, or keep drafting cards that contribute immediately to your existing plan.
Can Mystics be used with the fifth player?
Yes, but the Ram Clan itself comes from the separate 5th Player Expansion. Mystics of Midgard includes Ram-colored Mystic support, while the actual fifth clan and five-player drafting structure require the 5th Player box.
Rules interactions
Some Mystic upgrade abilities interact with destruction, retreat and other card effects. CMON’s FAQ contains specific rulings, including combinations with Gods of Asgard, so use the FAQ for those edge cases.
