Blood Rage Expansions Guide: Gods of Asgard, Mystics & 5th Player
Blood Rage has three standard expansion boxes that change different parts of the game: Gods of Asgard changes provinces through roaming god effects, Mystics of Midgard adds recruitable special units and upgrades, and the 5th Player Expansion adds the Ram Clan plus the extra cards needed for five-player drafting.

Gods of Asgard
Six gods are included, but only two are randomly selected for a game. Each god sits in a province and its ability changes the rules there. After a pillage attempt in a god’s province, that god moves to another eligible unpillaged province.
This expansion changes tactical priorities without adding a new player economy.

Mystics of Midgard
Mystics are special units unlocked through Mystic Clan Upgrade cards. They are neither Warriors nor Monsters. Their base rules give them STR 2 and allow them to invade without a Rage cost; additional Mystic upgrades stack special abilities onto them.

5th Player Expansion
The 5th Player box adds the Ram Clan and the extra Gods’ Gifts cards required to maintain the draft at five players. Its 24 cards are marked for 5+ player use, and the five-player board setup leaves no province destroyed before the game begins.
Can the Blood Rage expansions be combined?
Yes. The products were designed to coexist, but card prerequisites and player-count markings still matter. For example, Mystics includes material for the Ram Clan, but using that fifth-clan content requires the separate 5th Player Expansion.
Which Blood Rage expansion should you get first?
If your group usually plays with two to four people, choose based on the kind of change you want: Gods of Asgard for board-state variation, Mystics for additional unit/upgrades. Buy the 5th Player Expansion specifically when you need a fifth seat.
