Heat Legends Expansion Guide: Smarter AI Drivers & Difficulty Levels

Heat Legends expands the automated-driver system from Heat: Pedal to the Metal. Instead of simple filler cars, the new Legends are designed to behave more like competitive drivers: they slipstream, draft, clear corners more precisely and use special abilities.

What Heat Legends adds

  • 36 Legend cards
  • 36 Power Up cards
  • 12 Rival cards
  • 21 Sponsorship cards
  • Adjustable difficulty settings

Smarter automated drivers

The expanded Legends system makes AI cars more capable around corners and in traffic. They can use race tactics such as drafting and slipstreaming rather than following only a simple movement rule.

Power Ups

Power Up cards give automated drivers stronger or more distinctive capabilities, helping them remain competitive against experienced human players.

Difficulty settings

Days of Wonder includes multiple difficulty levels, letting players tune the strength of the automated field instead of using one fixed AI level.

Solo play

Legends can fill the grid for solo races, creating a larger field without needing human opponents.

Multiplayer use

The system also works in multiplayer, allowing a small human group to race against additional automated cars.

Does Legends require Heat?

Yes. Heat Legends is not standalone and requires the original Heat game.

Who should add Heat Legends?

Choose Legends if solo racing or small-group racing is important. If you mainly want more physical tracks, Heavy Rain, Tunnel Vision or Rocky Roads is a better first expansion.
