Terraforming Mars: Venus Next adds Venus as a fourth global parameter, but unlike temperature, oxygen and oceans, Venus does not need to be completed to end the game.

The Venus scale
The Venus scale runs from 0% to 30%. Raising it normally awards TR, just like increasing temperature or oxygen.
There are bonus steps: reaching 8% lets the active corporation draw a card, while reaching 16% grants an additional TR.
Venus is not an end-game requirement
The game still ends when oxygen, temperature and oceans reach their normal maximums. Venus can be completed early, partly developed or almost ignored and the base end condition still works.
Air Scrapping
Venus Next adds a new standard project: Air Scrapping. Pay 15 M€ to raise Venus one step and receive the normal TR for that increase.
Floaters
Floaters are card resources representing infrastructure in the Venusian atmosphere. They work like other card-bound resources such as microbes and animals: their meaning and value come from the card holding them.
Venus tags
Cards connected with Venus use the Venus tag, creating another tag family for requirements, discounts and scoring interactions.
World Government Terraforming
Venus Next introduces the Solar Phase and World Government Terraforming to keep the base terraforming race moving despite the extra development options. The designated player raises one eligible global parameter without receiving the normal personal benefit.
Can Venus Next combine with other expansions?
Yes. FryxGames explicitly allows Venus Next to be played with or without the other expansions. When combining modules, include the appropriate Solar Phase steps for each one.

Choose Venus Next when you want more project cards, corporations and engine paths without the political density of Turmoil.
