Spirit Island Nature Incarnate Expansion Guide
Spirit Island: Nature Incarnate is an advanced expansion built on top of the broader Jagged Earth rules environment. It adds eight Spirits, new Aspects for existing Spirits, a new Adversary and the Incarna system.

- Special tokens used by particular Spirits, including Deeps, Vitality and Quake
Incarna
Incarna are special pieces representing a Spirit manifesting more directly on the island. Their exact behavior depends on the Spirit using them, so Incarna are a shared concept with faction-specific rules rather than one universal action.
Eight new Spirits
The new roster includes highly distinctive designs such as Breath of Darkness Down Your Spine, Dances Up Earthquakes, Ember-Eyed Behemoth, Hearth-Vigil, Relentless Gaze of the Sun, Towering Roots of the Jungle, Wandering Voice Keens Delirium and Wounded Waters Bleeding.
24 Aspects
Aspects modify existing Spirits, refreshing older designs without requiring players to learn an entirely new Spirit. They can change innate powers, growth patterns or core special rules.
Habsburg Mining Colony
Nature Incarnate adds another Adversary with its own escalating rules and difficulty structure, extending the challenge system beyond the Adversaries in the core game and Jagged Earth.
Why Jagged Earth is required
Nature Incarnate assumes access to the expanded token and rules framework from Jagged Earth. It is therefore not positioned as a direct first expansion for a base-game-only collection.
Who should add Nature Incarnate?
Choose it after your group is already comfortable with Jagged Earth. Its main value is advanced Spirit variety, Incarna and Aspects—not simplifying or gradually introducing the expansion systems.
