Why We Love It
Clank! ties deck improvement to physical risk on the board. Stronger cards help you move and buy, but making too much noise increases the chance that dragon attacks pull your cubes from the bag.

What is Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure?
Clank! A Deck-Building Adventure is Paul Dennen’s 2016 deck-building adventure for 2–4 players. Players explore a dungeon, acquire cards and steal artifacts while trying not to attract too much attention from the dragon.
The deeper treasures are more valuable, but they also require more time to escape.
How the game works
Cards generate movement, skill for acquiring new cards, combat and other effects. Purchased cards enter your discard pile and improve later hands.
Some cards produce Clank! cubes. Those cubes can be drawn from the dragon bag during attacks, turning noisy turns into future damage risk. To score fully, you need an artifact and must escape or at least survive within the scoring area.
The decisions that define it
The signature decision is how deep to go. More valuable artifacts reward risk, but every extra turn in the dungeon exposes you to more dragon attacks and gives opponents time to trigger the endgame.
Deck quality and route position are inseparable: a strong deck that cannot move efficiently may still leave you trapped.
Who is it for?
Choose Clank! if you want deck building with a physical adventure board, escalating danger and visible push-your-luck decisions.
Choose Dominion for pure card efficiency or Dune: Imperium for a more strategic worker-placement hybrid.
