Clue Movement & Secret Passage Rules
Movement in Clue exists mainly to get you into rooms where you can make useful suggestions.
Moving through corridors
Roll and move through legal corridor spaces under your edition’s movement rules. You cannot move through occupied spaces when the rules treat them as blocking.
Entering a room
Entering a room ends ordinary movement for that move. Once inside, you may be able to make a suggestion.
Secret passages
Corner rooms on the classic mansion board connect by secret passages. Using a passage moves you directly to the connected corner room instead of ordinary corridor movement.
What happens when your suspect is named?
If another player’s suggestion names your character, your suspect pawn is moved into the suggested room. This can change where you begin your next movement.
Do weapons move?
Yes. A weapon named in a suggestion is moved into the suggested room as part of resolving it.
