Exploding Kittens Defuse & Exploding Kitten Rules
A drawn Exploding Kitten normally eliminates you. A Defuse card is the standard way to survive.
What happens when you draw an Exploding Kitten?
Reveal it immediately. If you have a Defuse, you may play it instead of exploding.
How does Defuse work?
Discard the Defuse, then return the Exploding Kitten to the Draw Pile following the rulebook’s reinsertion procedure. You do not reveal where you put it.
Can you put it on top?
Yes. The official rules explicitly allow strategic reinsertion, including putting the Kitten on top to threaten the next player.
Does your turn continue after Defusing?
No. The standard Defuse procedure ends the turn after the Kitten is reinserted.
What if you have no Defuse?
You explode, leave the game and discard your cards as instructed.
Can Nope stop an Exploding Kitten or Defuse?
No. The official field guide excludes both from Nope.
