How to Play Scholars of the South Tigris
Scholars of the South Tigris is a dice-worker game about translating scientific manuscripts and developing knowledge inside the House of Wisdom.

Use dice and workers together
Actions require combinations of dice values/colors and worker support. Your available mix determines which spaces are efficient each turn.
Acquire scrolls
Take manuscript scrolls from the shared display and prepare them for translation.
Hire translators
Translators provide language access and abilities needed to convert scrolls between languages.
Translate manuscripts
Meet the scroll’s requirements and use the relevant language path to complete translations and gain rewards.
Advance knowledge
Knowledge tracks and scientific progress unlock stronger actions and scoring opportunities.
Influence guilds
Guild position creates competition and contributes to final scoring.
Game end
When the base-game end condition is reached, score translated scrolls, guild influence, knowledge, translators and other printed categories.
