How to Play Trivial Pursuit Classic: Categories, Wedges & Winning
Trivial Pursuit Classic C1940 is a general-knowledge trivia game for 2–6 players.
Set up the board
Each player takes a wedge holder and places it at the starting area. Shuffle or prepare the question cards and keep the six colored wedge sets available.
Roll and move
Roll the die and move around the board according to the path. The color of the space determines the question category.
Answer the question
Another player reads the question from the matching category. A correct answer allows you to continue according to the printed turn rules.
Earn category wedges
When you answer correctly on the appropriate category space, add that category’s colored wedge to your holder.
Collect all six
You need one wedge from each of the six categories.
Final question
After completing your wedge holder, reach the center and answer the final question correctly to win.
