The Gang: More Players is an expansion for the cooperative poker base game that extends play from 3–6 to as many as 10 people. The Gang: All-In Deluxe Edition is a separate complete edition with upgraded materials, player-count expansion content and additional modules. Check the product and edition in your market: publisher names and included extras differ by region.

What does More Players include?

KOSMOS lists 19 chips and a rule sheet: 16 star chips and three Exit chips. The new ranks include 0-star, 7-star and 8-star chips. The 0-star chips rank below 1-star; two 0-star holders need only be weaker than the 1-star holder, with no required order between the two zeros.

At ten players, use the new stars by color in each of the four rounds and add three Exit chips in the red round. Players holding Exit chips still take a star chip, but their hands are excluded from showdown ordering. Exit chips can change hands during that final round, like star chips. The expansion sheet adjusts the number of additional chips and Exit chips for seven, eight and nine players; follow its count for your actual group.

The same Exit mechanic can make the base game less punishing with five or six people: the publisher provides an optional one-Exit-chip variant. It does not turn the expansion into a standalone game; you still need the base deck and other components.

What is the Deluxe edition?

KOSMOS’s 2026 All-In Deluxe Edition is described as a complete 3–10 player game, with premium cards, weighted chips, a neoprene playmat, 3D gold-bar and alarm markers, previous expansion material and a new Dealer module. The publisher describes additional Jokers, Tools and poker-variant options. The English-language Thames & Kosmos listing calls its version The Gang: Deluxe Edition and offers a Deluxe rulebook. Match the SKU and contents on your regional box rather than assuming every retail listing uses identical naming.

Which version makes sense for your group?

  • Three to four players, learning the game: the base 3–6 game has all four chip rounds, the basic heist and included difficulty modes. Begin there.
  • Five or six players: base game works, while More Players can provide the optional Exit-chip relief rule if the group wants it.
  • Seven to ten players: buy the base game plus More Players, or a complete Deluxe edition that explicitly includes the larger-player material.
  • Looking for extra modules and premium components: inspect the Deluxe contents for your region. An expansion chip pack alone does not provide the complete Deluxe contents.

Does it change ordinary poker hand rankings?

No. Players still evaluate their best five-card hand from private and community cards. The larger player-count rules add ranks and Exit chips so a long table can coordinate the order. The showdown and tie guide explains the underlying hand comparison.
