High Society Scoring: Status, Prestige, Disgrace & Elimination
High Society’s final result happens in two steps: first determine who is too poor to win, then compare status among the remaining players.
1. Reveal remaining money
Add the values of the money cards still in each player’s hand. The player with the least remaining money is cast out. If multiple players tie for least money, all of them are cast out.
2. Add Luxury status
Among eligible players, total the status values on positive Luxury cards.
3. Apply Prestige multipliers
Each Prestige card doubles status. Two Prestige cards multiply by four; all three multiply by eight.
4. Apply Disgrace penalties
Negative Status cards reduce the final total according to their printed values/effects, including the special Scandale card where applicable.
Highest surviving status wins
The eligible player with the highest final status wins. If tied, the player with more money remaining wins; if still tied, compare the single most valuable Luxury card as specified by the rulebook.
