How to Play Civolution: Dice Console, Modules & Four Eras
Civolution is a four-era civilization game built around a personal console. Dice are combined to activate module coordinates, letting players develop very different civilizations from the same action framework.
Scope: Deep Print Games base game; Acceptance Letter excluded.
Roll and use dice
Your dice provide values that can be assigned in pairs/combinations to module coordinates on the console.
Activate a module
Choose a legal module matching the required dice values and resolve its action.
Explore and expand
Move into continents, reveal or occupy regions and gather the resources needed for future development.
Research
Research cards create new powers and can change how modules, resources or scoring work.
Build and reproduce
Structures and population expand your civilization’s presence and economy.
Upgrade modules
Module improvements make frequently used actions stronger. Upgrading too broadly can dilute resource efficiency.
Era goals
Each era changes scoring incentives and priorities. Plan actions so the current goal and your long-term civilization plan overlap.
Four eras
After each era, resolve its scoring and transition effects. After era four, add final scoring from civilization development and cards.
