Lorenzo il Magnifico Strategy: Dice Values, Engines & Faith Timing

Editorial analysis: The shared dice are not simply luck; they change the relative value of servants, discounts and action spaces for everyone at once.

Draft cards for engine overlap

Territories and Buildings become stronger when Harvest and Production actions trigger several useful cards together. Prefer cards that reinforce an existing resource loop.

Low dice make servants more valuable

When shared dice are weak, servant reserves become a tactical resource. Spend them to cross meaningful thresholds, not to improve an action that was already good enough.

Tower occupancy creates timing pressure

If another player enters a tower first, later placements can cost more. Secure a key card early when its tower is likely to become contested.

Prepare Vatican Reports in advance

Do not wait until the final action before a report to think about Faith. Count whether supporting the Church is worth the Faith sacrifice and whether the Excommunication penalty would materially hurt your plan.

Card cost and activation are separate questions

A powerful Building is weak if your Production strength cannot trigger it regularly. Evaluate both acquisition cost and the future activation threshold.

Round 6: direct points over engine growth

There is no future Harvest or Production cycle after the game ends. Convert remaining workers and resources into final scoring instead of setup.
