Bus Transport & Time Rules: Passengers, Destinations and Scoring

Bus scores through successful passenger transportation. Route length alone does not score unless passengers can use it at the right time.

Passenger destination depends on Time

The Time track indicates whether passengers currently want to go home, to work or to leisure. A passenger can score only when moved to the correct destination type.

Your route must connect the trip

A passenger can travel only through a legal path using your bus line under the transport rules. Rival route pieces do not automatically become part of your network.

Bus capacity limits each transport action

The number of buses you have determines how many passengers you can move during your transport opportunity.

Transport priority matters

When multiple players select transportation, resolve the action order according to placement/order on the transport track. Earlier transport can remove passengers another player planned to use.

Advancing Time changes demand

When the game clock advances, the desired destination type changes. A route that is ideal for work traffic can become less useful when passengers switch to leisure or home.

Stopping Time

The game’s special Time action can prevent the normal change at a cost defined by the rules. Because it affects all players, this can preserve a profitable phase for you while delaying a rival’s planned destination.

Scoring

Each successfully delivered passenger earns the point value specified by the transport rules. Highest point total at game end wins.
