7 Wonders Armada Expansion Guide: Fleets, Shipyards & Islands
7 Wonders: Armada is the most structurally ambitious expansion in the current 7 Wonders line. It gives every player a Shipyard board with four naval tracks and adds Armada cards, Island cards and naval interaction beyond immediate neighbors.
What Armada adds
- 7 Shipyard boards
- 4 fleet tracks per player
- Armada Age cards
- Island cards in three levels
- Naval conflict tokens
- A new Wonder
- A team-play option for 4 or 6 players
Shipyards and fleets
Each player tracks four fleets on their Shipyard. Advancing fleets generates effects, creating a parallel development system beside the normal card tableau.
Armada cards
Armada cards are added to the Age decks and introduce effects tied to naval development and broader interaction.
Island cards
Island cards form a separate card category divided into three levels. Exploration can unlock these cards and their unique benefits.
Naval conflict
Armada increases interaction beyond your left and right neighbors. Naval development can create conflicts and effects that involve players across the table rather than only adjacent cities.
Team play
The expansion supports a team variant for 4- and 6-player games.
Compatibility
Repos Production states that the current edition of Armada is compatible with every other current 7 Wonders expansion.
Who should add Armada?
Choose Armada when your group wants a major strategic layer and more table-wide interaction. Leaders and Edifice are easier first expansions; Armada changes the shape of every Age more substantially.
